Review:

Strong recommendation by my Batam friends to try out this new vegetarian restaurant which opened in late Feb 2018! Initially, when they shared the location with me, I felt slightly disappointed as it was within walking distance from the hotel that I stayed in the previous trip. OH MY GOSH!

We were approached by friendly staff just when we alighted from the car! The interior design lets us feel comfortable and peace~ Menu is well designed with detailed information like the photo of the food, price and dual language of Indonesia and Chinese!

Kwetiau Siram (Hor Fun) is a dish that most of us are quite familiar with or has tried it before. The surprising part is the taste of “Wok-Hei” of the kway tiao which helps to enhance the flavour and texture to another higher level of sensation! “Wok-Hei” is the burnt taste of the wok which demonstrates the cooking skill of the chef. Gravy of hor fun is at the right tune of the thickness and saltiness which we were satisfied with it. *lick my lip*

Udang Petai is one of the dishes which lets us feel the excitement of the taste of it! ❤ (Feel like eating this dish now while writing this review! OMG!!!)
Shiok! Crunchy!
These are the words that strike our mind while enjoying this petai dish! We are regretting not ordering the bigger serving portion as it was really well-cooked. Petai dish is one of the MUST eat when you come to Indonesia for a trip!

While taking photos of the restaurant (exterior & interior), I noticed that they will place some cone to indicate the parking lots is reserved solely just for their customers. This is quite thoughtful for those who are driving and worried about unable to find a decent place to park their car. Kudos!

– If I’m not wrong, this is a mushroom dish
– Well-fried, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside!
– Taste better when paired with gravy or sauce

Udang Petai – 38,000 rp
