后夜市, 777 Pasar Malam, 777 Tun Aminah
33, Jalan Perkasa 4, Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, 81300 Skudai, Johor
Evening to 11 pm
777 Pasar Malam is one of the biggest Pasar Malam located in Skudai of Johor. It is within walking distance from the Hako Hotel which I will be staying for this trip.
The atmosphere of the Pasar Malam bring back childhood memories where our parents always bring us to the nearest Pasar Malam near our house where we run around with our neighbors, bugging our parents to buy toys and food that we want.
Nowadays, Pasar Malam in Singapore is “dead”, you can’t find them as often as we used to. Even if you find one at the heartland neighborhood, there will be limited stalls where they sell overpriced stuffs and funky items/food, and there isn’t even a crowd most of the time.
We slowly stroll down the stretch of the roads to see what they are selling, communicate/laugh together with the stores owner. Buy those snacks that we can’t find easily anymore. This is the Pasar Malam feeling that I am seeking for years!
There is an open area with tables for friends/strangers to gather and consume their food; and there are plenty of stalls around it selling food and drinks.
(Next trip will take a better view of this open area)
